What makes us different?
Founded by a psychologist, Healthwise Studio offers a fresh approach to self-care, one that brings focus to the connection of your mind, body and spirit through the practice of yoga, mindfulness and other healthcare services.
We understand that not one-size fits all and we recognize that for some, "getting out of our head and into our body" can be a challenge. But, doing just that can help us to make that vital connection with our intuitive selves. Many times resulting in the real and deep changes we crave.
Our yoga classes, mindfulness workshops and other wellness services are designed to share with you the latest research on mind-body health and to guide you on your “action plan” for feeling better.
Our yoga is not focused on fitness.
Yoga is for EVERY body and ANY body. Previous yoga experience or being physically fit is certainly not required! Our yoga classes bring focus to our inside; our emotional health. While other yoga studios focus on strength and flexibility, our yoga offers an opportunity for you to better manage your difficult emotions, ward off stress, tame your inner narrator, boost your mood and see yourself more clearly. Because when things get truly difficult-when your body falls ill, your lover betrays you, you lose your job-you need something more potent than willpower and six-pack abs.
Our services: Learn by doing.
We often leave a healthcare provider’s office with suggestions of what we need to do or need to change to feel better. However, doing things differently is often easier said than done. This is where we come in. The workshops and series classes at Healthwise integrate mind-body education with practice so that you can “learn by doing.” Not only do we provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills, but our studio space allows for active learning (practice). As evidence-based practice is at the core of our services, our focus is on skill building that works. Our workshops will teach you what to do and how to do to it. You are supported and guided as you create the change you need.
Who can benefit? The good news is EVERYONE can!
The many benefits of mindfulness and yoga do not discriminate when it comes to age or circumstance. No matter what stage of life you are in or what challenges you are facing, whoever you are, wherever you are, learning to be in the here and the now is a skill that will forever nurture you. This allows you to understand you, at this very moment, no matter the circumstance or what lies ahead.
